A Guided Approach to Detox and Renewal

Chelation Therapy

Chelation IV therapy is used to remove heavy metal toxins that have found homes in places like your brain, glands (such as pituitary, thyroid, adrenals, ovaries, and testes), liver, bone marrow, kidneys, blood vessel walls, and fat cells.

Testing can be done to determine your levels of toxicity followed by a customized detox plan that is best for you. Heavy metals can damage the immune system, cause cancer, damage kidneys, cause heart disease, and cause a number of neurologic problems, such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, Alzheimer's dementia, and autism spectrum disorders. Most people who undergo chelation do so not to address any specific symptoms they are currently aware of, but to prevent serious diseases that would shorten their life or impair its quality.

Why Chelation

Four Reasons People Choose Chelation Therapy

Chelation is one of the most direct ways we can help your body clear heavy metals that it has been holding on to, sometimes for years.

01
Metals Hide Deep in Tissue Heavy metals can settle in the brain, glands, bone marrow, blood vessel walls, and fat cells, where they are not always easy to see or clear on your own.
02
Testing Comes First An IV chelation challenge test helps us estimate what is still stored in your body, so your plan is based on your own results.
03
Prevention, Not Just Symptoms Many people choose chelation to lower their long-term risk and protect their quality of life, even before symptoms appear.
04
Part of a Whole Detox Plan Chelation works best alongside the rest of your care, including detoxification therapy, nutrition, and support for the organs that clear toxins.
What Chelation May Support

Benefits of Chelation Therapy

Every plan is personal, and results vary from person to person. Here is what chelation can help support.

01
Lower Toxic Burden Chelating agents bind to certain metals so your body can carry them out through the urine.
02
Heart and Blood Vessel Health Many patients choose chelation as part of a plan to support cardiovascular and circulatory health.
03
Brain and Nerve Protection The nervous system is sensitive to metals such as lead and mercury. Lowering that load may help protect it.
04
Kidney and Gland Support Reducing the metals stored in your kidneys and glands can support the organs that keep you in balance.
05
A Plan Built on Your Results Your testing guides which approach we use, how often, and for how long.
06
Progress You Can Measure Follow-up testing helps us see how your levels change over time and adjust your plan.

How Do I Know If I Have Toxins?

If you are alive, you have toxins. The question is, how are they affecting you, and how might they affect you in the future.

We identify classes of toxins and relative severity of toxicity using a variety of indirect tests and biofeedback. For heavy metals, we infer what is still in your body by measuring metals released from your body during an IV chelation challenge test.

The initial chelation challenge test is a great place to start getting the answers you're looking for and the customized plan you deserve.

Clear What Your Body Has Been Carrying

Heavy metals build up quietly over a lifetime. A guided chelation plan can help your body release them, so it can put its energy back into healing.

IV and Oral Chelation

How Chelation Therapy Works

The word chelation comes from the Greek word for claw. A chelating agent grabs on to certain metals in your blood and tissues and holds them, so your kidneys can filter them out in your urine.

We offer both IV and oral chelation. IV chelation is given slowly through a small IV while you relax in a comfortable chair. Oral chelation may be used on its own or between IV sessions, depending on your plan.

Because chelating agents can also bind helpful minerals, we pay close attention to mineral and nutrient support throughout your care. We review your health history and lab work before we recommend chelation, and we keep checking in as your plan moves forward.

FAQs

Your Chelation Questions Answered

Quick answers to the questions we hear most about chelation therapy.

A challenge test uses a dose of a chelating agent, followed by a urine collection. Measuring the metals your body releases helps us estimate what may still be stored in your tissues, and it guides your customized plan.

No. Most people who undergo chelation do so not to address any specific symptoms they are currently aware of, but to prevent serious diseases that would shorten their life or impair its quality.

We offer both IV and oral chelation. Your testing, health history, and goals help us decide which approach, or which combination, is best for you.

It depends on your test results and your goals. Chelation is usually done as a series, and we adjust the plan as we retest and see how your body responds.

When chelation is guided by testing and supervised by a trained provider, it is generally well tolerated. Because chelating agents can also bind helpful minerals, we monitor you closely and support your mineral levels throughout your care. Talk with us about your health history so we can decide together whether it is right for you.
